State schemes, state by state
A state scheme is often worth more than every central scheme put together — a monthly payment to women, a pension well above the central share, or a health cover of ₹10 to ₹25 lakh. The finder checks the schemes for the state you pick, so choosing the right one is the single most important field on the form.

Nothing below is needed to use this page — the finder asks for none of it. This is what the government's own application will ask for once you get there, and having it ready is the difference between applying in ten minutes and giving up.
| Almost always | Aadhaar card, a bank passbook in your own name with the IFSC code, and a recent passport photograph. The account must be yours: a scheme paid by direct benefit transfer cannot pay into somebody else's account. |
|---|---|
| Income limit | An income certificate from the tehsildar, SDM or revenue office. Usually valid for one financial year, so an old one is often refused. |
| SC, ST or OBC scheme | A caste certificate, and for OBC schemes a non-creamy-layer certificate dated within the current year. |
| State scheme | A domicile or residence certificate, or a voter ID or ration card showing an address in that state. |
| Means-tested scheme | Your ration card — BPL, Antyodaya or priority. This single document unlocks more money than any other. |
| Farmer scheme | Land records — khasra, khatauni, patta or the 7/12 extract, depending on the state — and a Kisan Credit Card if you have one. |
| Divyangjan scheme | A disability certificate of 40% or more, and ideally a UDID card, which most schemes now ask for directly. |
| Scholarship | Last year's marksheet, the current admission or fee receipt, and your institution's details on the National Scholarship Portal. |

This page is not a government website and cannot submit anything for you. Every scheme in the finder links to its own official site, and these are the portals those links lead to. Applying anywhere else, or paying anyone a fee to apply, is not necessary.

This page asks for the most sensitive combination of facts an Indian website can collect: your age, your caste category, your family's income, whether you hold a BPL card, whether you have a disability, whether you belong to a minority community. Taken together that is a profile worth a great deal to the wrong buyer, and the usual way to build a tool like this is to post it all to a server and match it there.
This one does not. The rules for all 128 schemes are downloaded to your browser as a small data file and the comparison happens inside the page, on your own phone. There is no endpoint receiving your profile, nothing is written to a log, and we could not sell or lose your details if we tried — we never have them. The only thing our analytics records is that a search happened, which state it was for and how many schemes matched.
It also means no genuine reason ever exists for this page to ask for your Aadhaar number, your phone number or a payment. If any website claiming to find schemes for you asks for those, close it.

Is this Sarkari Yojana Finder really free?
Yes. No account, no OTP, no fee and no limit on how many times you check. There is nothing to buy on this page and nothing to subscribe to. The matching runs on your own phone or computer, so there is no server bill for us to pass on to you.
How does it know which schemes I am eligible for?
Every scheme publishes its conditions — an age band, an income ceiling, a state, a category, whether a ration card or a disability certificate is needed. The tool holds those conditions as rules and compares them against the details you enter. It is arithmetic, not a guess, which is why the answer is the same every time and why each card can tell you exactly which condition you met.
Do you store my Aadhaar number, income or caste details?
We never ask for your Aadhaar number, your name, your phone number or your bank details, and we never will — no genuine eligibility check needs them. The age, income and category you do enter are used inside your browser and are never sent to us. Load the page, switch your connection off, and the finder still works. Nothing to store means nothing to leak.
How many government schemes does it check?
It checks 128 schemes — 69 central government schemes that run everywhere in India, and 59 state government schemes across 23 states and union territories. Central schemes like PM-KISAN, Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana are checked for everybody; state schemes are checked only for the state you choose.
Is this an official government website?
No. Codexal is a private software company and this is a free tool we built. The official national portal is myscheme.gov.in, and every result here links straight to the scheme's own official website, which is where you apply and which is the final authority on its rules. We are not an agent, we charge nothing, and we cannot submit an application for you.
Can I apply for a scheme through this page?
No, and you should be careful with any website that says it can. Applications go through the government's own portal or your local office — a Common Service Centre, a block office, a panchayat, a bank branch or the scheme's own site. Each result here has an "Apply on the official site" button that takes you to the right place. Nobody should ever charge you a fee to apply for a government scheme.
Do I need documents ready before I apply?
Almost always. An Aadhaar card, a bank passbook in your own name with the IFSC, and a recent photograph cover the basics. Beyond that it depends: an income certificate for anything with an income limit, a caste certificate for SC, ST or OBC schemes, a domicile or residence certificate for a state scheme, a ration card for anything means-tested, land papers for farmer schemes, a disability certificate or UDID card for divyangjan schemes, and marksheets for a scholarship.
What does the "Close, but not quite" list mean?
Those are schemes you miss by exactly one condition — you are two years too young, or your income is a little over the limit, or it needs a ration card you do not have. They are worth reading because situations change: a birthday, a new ration card or a disability certificate can make a scheme you were refused last year available this year.
Why are the amounts sometimes different from what I was told?
Scheme amounts change with every state and central budget, and some states top up a central scheme with their own money — the old age pension is the clearest case, where the central share is ₹200 a month and many states pay ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 in total. The figures here are the published amounts as of October 2026, and the official link on each card is the authority, not this page.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes. The page itself is available in Hindi and in 22 other Indian languages, and inside the tool there is a separate switch for the scheme names and reasons, so you can read the interface in one language and the official scheme names in Hindi or English — which is useful, because the official application forms usually use the English name.
Does it work on a cheap phone, or with a slow connection?
Yes. The scheme list is about 30 KB compressed and is downloaded once, then kept by your browser — so a second check costs nothing, and the tool keeps working if your connection drops. There is no app to install and no login.
Why does it ask whether I live in a village or a town?
Because several of the largest schemes are written for one or the other. MGNREGA's hundred days of work, PM Awas Yojana Gramin and the Swachh Bharat toilet grant are rural; the PMAY-Urban interest subsidy and the street vendor loan are urban. Getting this wrong is the most common reason a real entitlement does not show up.
I am a woman — are there schemes just for me?
A great many, and they are among the largest cash transfers in the country. Most states now run a direct monthly payment to women — Ladki Bahin in Maharashtra, Ladli Behna in Madhya Pradesh, Gruha Lakshmi in Karnataka, Lakshmir Bhandar in West Bengal, Subhadra in Odisha, Maiya Samman in Jharkhand and others. Enter your state and the finder will show the one that applies to you, along with the central schemes for women.
Are there schemes for farmers beyond PM-KISAN?
Yes, and most farmers claim fewer than they could. Besides the ₹6,000 a year from PM-KISAN there is the Kisan Credit Card at an effective 4%, crop insurance under PMFBY, a contributory pension under PM Kisan Maandhan, a 60% subsidy on a solar pump under PM-KUSUM, and several states add their own top-up — Rythu Bharosa in Telangana, KALIA in Odisha and the Rajasthan and Andhra top-ups among them.
